SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Blackburn Contract Type: Full-time, Term Time Only Salary: £85-£95 per day (depending on experience) Start Date: ASAP About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Blackburn. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech & language difficulties. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to provide tailored support, ensuring pupils can access learning and thrive in an inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN. Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies. Promote positive learning experiences and emotional regulation. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to meet pupils' needs. Support classroom activities and adapt resources where necessary. Requirements Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent). Previous experience supporting children with SEN.
