Axcis Education are working closely with a secondary provision in the Preston area who cater for students with social, emotional and mental health difficulties and autism. The school caters for children aged 11 - 17 years old, predominantly male students and some do display challenging behaviours.
The school is based on the outskirts of Preston and has easy access from public transport links as well as on site parking. The school is a smaller than average provision with class sizes ranging from 7 - 11 pupils but you will be expected to work with different age groups, in this role. The school is Ofsted judged as "good" and the staff at school are very supportive and inclusive.
The role will start as soon as possible and you will likely enter on a temp - perm agreement which means you would likely become a permanent member of staff at some point during the academic year. Pay for this role starts at £90 per day PAYE and the school hours are 830am - 330pm Monday - Friday.
To apply for this role, you must have some experience working with children with additional needs and/or challenging behaviours and you must be available on a full time basis. The role will start as soon as possible and you will need a fully enhanced DBS on the update service prior to the role starting.
