Overview
We are seeking a skilled Assistant Stove, Flue, Fireplace and Media Wall Installer to join our dynamic team. This role involves assisting with the installation of wood burning and multi-fuel stoves, flue systems, flexible flue liners, gas and electric fires, media walls and traditional fireplaces. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction-related trades, with experience in handling diverse tools and materials. Duties
* Assist with the installation of stoves, fireplaces, flues, and media walls in accordance with schematics and safety standards
* Prepare work sites by measuring, cutting, and fitting components using hand tools and power tools
* Support with roofing, masonry and joinery, as required during installations
* Installation of flue systems and flue liners involving working at height.
* Taking care to respect customers properties during installations.
* Work using initiative and a 'Have a go' attitude is a must.
* Assist with construction-related tasks such as bonding plastering, masonry work, installation of brick slips, re pointing, boarding and cutting and polishing slate.
* Ensure all work areas are kept clean and organised to maintain safety standards
* Collaborate effectively with team members to complete projects efficiently and to high standards
Qualifications
* Proven experience in construction trades such as joinery, masonry or general construction.
* Ideally be 30 years + due to insurance restrictions on company vehicles but not essential for the correct candidate.
* Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
* Experience working on-site in residential or commercial environments
* Ability to interpret technical instructions and follow safety protocols diligently
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
* Physical fitness to handle lifting, bending, and working at heights if required
* A valid UK driving licence is essential
