Job Title: Teaching Assistant (SEN - LD & EBD Support)

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Liverpool supporting children with Learning Disabilities (LD) and Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support for students with these specific needs, ensuring they have the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally in a supportive and inclusive environment..
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist the class teacher in delivering a differentiated curriculum to students with Learning Disabilities (LD) and Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), acting as a Teaching Assistant in one-on-one and small group support.
2. Provide support with behaviour management, using de-escalation techniques and reinforcing positive behaviour strategies to help children manage their emotions and reactions.
3. As a Teaching Assistant, help create a calm, structured classroom environment that encourages learning and supports students with additional needs.
4. Support children with LD and EBD in developing social and communication skills, promoting inclusion and positive peer relationships.
5. Assist in monitoring progress and providing feedback to the class teacher on how interventions are impacting student learning and behaviour as a Teaching Assistant.
