We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic CNC Operator to perform a variety of production tasks across a wide product range. The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing and testing a variety of products, as well as assisting in the implementation of processes and tooling/test equipment to support reliable and cost-effective manufacturing.
Key responsibilities of the CNC Operator
* Prepare and operate 3-axis CNC milling machines
* Operate manual machines such as mills & lathes
* Understand specifications and desired outcomes by reading blueprints and mechanical drawings
* Translate instructions into computer commands on CNC machines
* Supervise machine operation and make adjustments for optimal results
* Inspect and measure finished products to ensure quality standards
* Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality
Knowledge and experience of the CNC Operator
* Proven experience as a CNC programmer/operator with precision and concentration
* Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
* Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
* Experience with operating CNC machinery and tooling, as well as measurement tools
* Mechanical fitting/assembly skills
* Good math skills and a results-driven approach
* Effective communication skills
* Completion of an apprenticeship is preferred
* Knowledge of hydraulics is advantageous
