Job Title: Class 2 driver Skip/Roro Location: Musselburgh Salary: £14.53ph Company Overview: The company are a leading integrated waste management business providing collection, treatment, recycling and technologically driven energy generation services. They are currently looking for full time, Class 2 driver for our skip/Roro trucks. Role Overview: As a driver with this company, you will be responsible for all Skip/Roro work required. You will also be required to follow all safety measures of work; complete vehicle check fully and to a high standard and fill in any associated digital paperwork. Training may be provided for other vehicle types. Key Responsibilities: Identify and secure new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, referrals, and strategic outreach within target markets. Develop and nurture long-term client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to understand client needs and position consultancy services effectively. Lead on bid management and proposal development, including coordinating subject matter experts, pricing strategy, and delivering compelling client presentations. Create and execute business development strategies aligned with firm-wide growth objectives, market trends, and sector priorities. Monitor pipeline activity, revenue forecasting, and performance metrics, ensuring consistent achievement of sales targets and contribution to overall consultancy growth. Main duties: Safe and efficient Skip/Roro delivery/collections Carry out and record daily checks Provide good customer service to our customers General housekeeping of the working area and lorry Following all site health and safety rule on and off site Other duties as required Requirements: Valid Driving Licence CPC qualification Digital tachograph card Good communicative English No more than 6 points on your licence Able to work as a part of team Punctual, Flexible and Reliable Good customer service skills Experience in Waste & Recycling is desirable but not essential Basic IT skills (use of tablet to complete run) What’s in It for You?
