We are looking for someone to support an elderly lady in her home for 7 hours per week to support her independence following a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s.
Duties include encouraging and prompting with personal care routines such as washing and dressing, assisting with hair care, prompting with medication, supporting mealtimes, and encouraging participation in domestic tasks such as laundry and hoovering.
A good sense of humour would be valuable in encouraging positive responses and helping to build a strong, supportive relationship.
Set shifts will be important to maintain a consistent routine but can be discussed with the family at interview. Remaining hours to be discussed at interview.
PVG Membership will be required
All training required will be provided
