Board Roles: Company Secretary, Fundraising Lead & General Trustees (Voluntary)
Blossom LGBT is recruiting new Trustees to join our Board as we enter an exciting phase of growth and national expansion. We are particularly seeking individuals interested in the roles of Company Secretary Trustee, Fundraising Lead Trustee but would like to hear from anyone who feels they have something to contribute!
Blossom LGBT works to empower LGBTQIA+ young adults aged 16–30, tackling systemic barriers including discrimination, poverty, and social exclusion. Our Board plays a critical role in ensuring the charity is well-governed, sustainable, and impactful.

Company Secretary Trustee
Supporting strong governance and compliance by:
* Coordinating Board meetings, committees, and the AGM
* Preparing agendas, papers, and accurate minutes
* Managing statutory filings and the annual governance calendar
* Ensuring compliance with charity law and Charity Commission guidance
Fundraising Lead Trustee
Providing strategic oversight of income generation by:
* Shaping and advising on fundraising strategy and income diversification
* Supporting grant fundraising, corporate partnerships, crowdfunding, and legacy giving
* Strengthening long-term income resilience and sustainability
* Acting as an advocate for Blossom LGBT and opening doors through networks
General Trustee
Contributing to the overall governance and strategic direction of the charity by:
* Providing independent challenge and support to the CEO and leadership team
* Supporting risk management, financial oversight, and safeguarding
* Helping set strategy, monitor performance, and protect the charity’s values and reputation
About you
* Experience in governance, fundraising, leadership, finance, operations, or organisational development (professional, voluntary, or lived experience)
* Strategic mindset with good judgement and the ability to contribute at board level
* Willingness to prepare for and attend Board meetings and engage between meetings as needed
* Alignment with Blossom LGBT’s mission, values, and commitment to inclusion and safeguarding
Previous trustee experience is not required. We are interested in what you bring, not just the roles you’ve held.
