Estimator\n Permanent role\n Based Derby\n £40k to £55k DOE + Car Allowance, pension, good holiday allowance and benefits.\n\nThe Company\n Established more than 50 years ago, the business has been the go-to company for Heat Recovery, Direct Extract and Office Ventilation, as well as HVAC solutions and renewable energy resources (Air Source Heat Pump, Ground Source Heat Pump, Solar, Thermal etc.) for commercial and domestic builds.\n\nOffering nationwide coverage, they work with some of the largest Blue-Chip names within commerce and industry.\n\nDue to continued growth and a plan to create a specific division for the "Wet Work" on projects - Plumbing, drainage, construction work where water is commonly used or where there's a risk of water damage. This expansion requires an additional Estimator to join an established team.\n\nThe Role\n\nWorking within an established team in a fast-paced environment, estimating for tenders from predesigned and Design & Build projects, ranging from £500k to £1million.\nEvaluate drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labour estimates for projects.\nPrepare and submit accurate and competitive bids to potential clients.\nMeet with clients and internal stakeholders to discuss the scope of work.\nCalculate heating and cooling needs for client spaces.\nProvide recommendations and suggestions that meet budget and performance objectives.\nInvolvement in pre-bid meetings, bid strategy, and presentation meetings as requested.\nWork with vendors, contractors, and clients to ensure a clear line of communication.\nDocument and manage changes and ensure these are communicated to involved stakeholders.The Person\n In order to be considered you'll need a few things in your locker:\n\nExtensive experience as an Estimator within a similar industry. Not necessarily HVAC, although that would be useful, but construction and D&B type environments.\nAn ability to accurately estimate costs and resources required and provide this data in an understandable and accurate manner.\nDetail-oriented and organised, with a passion for seeing things through.\nStrong analytical and mathematical skills, and solid IT skills to create and record the estimates.\nExcellent communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and via the written word, along with the ability to work with a diverse team of colleagues and customer contracts.PLEASE NOTE -\n\nThis role would NOT suit a recent graduate without extensive, real-world experience in a similar role.\n\nAlso, we are not considering applications form outside of a reasonable commute to the site in Leicester.
