About the Role:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Southampton from September 2025. This full-time role is ideal for someone passionate about education and supporting students in achieving their best, both academically and personally.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work alongside teachers to support students across a range of subjects and abilities. While this role does not focus on Special Educational Needs (SEN), you will play a key part in helping students stay engaged, motivated, and on track in their learning.

Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely with teachers to assist in the delivery of high-quality lessons and activities.
* Provide classroom-based support to students, helping them access the curriculum and stay engaged in learning.
* Offer targeted help to students who may need additional encouragement or reinforcement.
* Support students during lessons, transitions, and break times to promote positive behaviour and learning habits.
* Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and productive classroom environment.
* Contribute to the wider school community through involvement in extracurricular activities and events.
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience working with young people in a school or educational setting is desirable but not essential.
* A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
* Strong communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team.
* A genuine interest in education and student development.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., in education, childcare, or youth work) are beneficial but not required.
