Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Lift Service Engineer covering the central belt area of Scotland. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the safety, reliability, and smooth operation of lifts across the central belt of Scotland. Responsibilities include attending to lift breakdowns in client buildings, identifying and diagnosing faults, and carrying out effective repairs to restore full functionality.
Perform routine servicing and maintenance of wide variety of makes and models of passenger lifts, goods lifts and disabled access lifts ensuring they meet safety standards and operate reliably.
Liaise with the office team to plan and schedule workloads efficiently, delivering excellent customer service at all times.
Keeping accurate records of work completed, parts used, and any further recommendations using servicxe management software on company mobile phone.
Participate in our on call rota of 1 in 4
Qualifications
* NVQ or SVQ Level 3 in lift Engineering or equivalent
* Proven experience in the maintenance and repair of lifts, including hydraulic and traction lifts. Or proven experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance of machinery
* A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
* Must be able to confidently read and understand wiring diagrams on control systems
* The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
* Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues quickly and develop effective solutions.
* Strong customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
* Driving license.
* Flexibility to work out of normal working hours as and when required.
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
