Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join the Hepatology service at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This position involves working within the established administration team as a Medical Secretary to support patients and the multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
* Undertake a wide range of secretarial and administrative duties and provide administrative support to the multidisciplinary team.
* Process information (electronic and hard copy) in a timely manner; liaise with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as Primary Care and Community service providers in accordance with current policies.
* Provide a comprehensive Medical Secretary and PA service to Consultants, including coordinating meetings, optimizing clinic time, producing clinic letters and other documents, and dealing with patient and GP queries in a sympathetic and constructive manner.
Qualifications and Skills
* Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to use initiative.
* Computer literate with good attention to detail; able to work accurately and both independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

Role Details
The position is for 18.75 hours per week, working on a Tuesday and Friday.
