WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING… You'll be using the latest IES VE software to predict what the effect that a building will have on the environment. The energy models you build will predict building energy consumption, CO2 emissions, peak demands, energy cost, and renewable energy production. They can even predict a person’s thermal comfort and visual comfort; for example does it get too hot, and is there enough daylight in a room. A key part of the role will be liaising with clients, including architects and engineers; you'll be preparing technical reports for them, and using your analytical skills.
