As a Care Development Lead, you will be the face of the company undertaking all new enquiries and presenting the service to fit with people’s needs. You will manage all new sales enquiries, ensuring efficient responses and conversion into customers. You will also support the marketing team with on‑ground marketing, networking, and brand awareness.
Key responsibilities
* Undertake all new care assessments and organise care to start promptly.
* Collect all necessary signatures and documents to enable care to start.
* Assess all aspects of care and identify any risks that would prevent Bluebird Care from taking on the care package; raise concerns with the Registered Manager or Operations Director.
* Help the marketing team with on‑ground marketing initiatives.
* Ensure Bluebird Care provides safe, effective, high‑quality care that responds to each customer’s needs and preferences.
* Ensure services respect customers’ choices and promote their dignity and privacy.
* Support business development, growth, and lead on sales.

Requirements
* Previous experience in the care sector carrying out care assessments, creating care plans, or delivering/supporting care services.
* Strong understanding of person‑centred care, safeguarding, and risk management.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with customers, families, and professionals.
* Proven ability to manage new enquiries, carry out initial assessments, and convert them into active customers.
* Business development and strong understanding of business growth.
* Good organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple enquiries and follow up promptly.
* Experience in working collaboratively with care teams to ensure high‑quality service delivery.
* Confidence in promoting services and supporting sales/marketing activities.
* Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, CRM systems, email).
* Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends if required, to meet business needs.
* A caring, compassionate, and professional manner.
