Join Our Team as a Skilled CNC Operator!
At Waukesha Bearings, part of Dover Precision Components, we are on the lookout for a talented Skilled CNC Operator to join our dynamic team! You will be an integral part of our fully integrated Computer Aided Manufacturing facility, where you will utilize cutting-edge CNC machining centers for turning, milling, and grinding operations. Your expertise will help us produce customized designs from a variety of materials, including steel grades, copper, brass, aluminum, and bronze.
Our facility boasts a broad range of multi-axis machine tools, lathes, mills, and associated equipment. You will be working on a high-mix of customized fluid-film bearings, seals, and isolators, serving customers throughout Europe and beyond.
What We Offer
* Annual Salaries:
o £44,919.62 for a weekly rotating shift pattern (early 6am and backshifts 2pm)
o £52,452.37 for night shift work
* Permanent Employment Contracts with a 37-hour work week, Monday to Friday
* Inclusive of shift premium, plus additional benefits such as:

Your Skills and Experience
To thrive in this role, you will need:
* A time-served apprenticeship in a machining discipline or SVQ/NVQ level 3 or HNC in Mechanical Engineering
* A minimum of 5 years’ experience operating CNC machine tools in a lean-manufacturing environment
* Established milling experience with multi-axis machine tools, ideally Correa and/or Doosan
* Familiarity with machine control systems such as Fanuc, Mazak, Heidenhain, or Haas
* Proven ability to hold tight machining tolerances of less than .0025mm
* Experience with precision inspection equipment, including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and bore gauges
* Experience in power generation, oil & gas, aerospace, or similar environments is a plus
Your Responsibilities
As a Skilled CNC Operator, you will:
* Read process sheets, blueprints, and sketches to determine machining requirements
* Locate and download programs from a DNC storage system
* Interpret work instructions and select proper tooling for operations
* Calculate feeds and speeds for various materials
* Read, understand, edit, or write complete programs
* Perform quality inspections and apply Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance productivity
* Visually inspect final components and prepare them for shipment
* Utilize precision measuring instruments for quality verification
