Nursery Assistant, Bristol, £14.40 per hour We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our agency team, supporting well-established nurseries. As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping staff provide high-quality care and early learning experiences for young children, contributing to their development and well-being. This role is great for anyone wanting to get some experience or see if a career in early years education is right for them. It’s also perfect for someone looking for a more flexible way of working. Key Responsibilities Support children’s play, learning, and daily routines, helping to create a fun, engaging, and stimulating environment that encourages development. Assist in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and well-organised setting where children feel secure and supported in their learning. Work alongside nursery staff to supervise children and support mealtimes, snack times, and personal hygiene routines, ensuring their wellbeing and safety at all times. Prepare, organise, and tidy away activities and resources throughout the day to promote a clean, structured, and inviting learning environment. Build positive relationships with children, encouraging confidence, independence, creativity, and curiosity through meaningful interactions and play-based learning. Support the delivery of age-appropriate activities that contribute to children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies and procedures to maintain high standards of care and professionalism.
