Veterinary Surgeon
J679658 Middlesbrough North East £45K - £65K / Year
Apply Save A well-established, growing small animal practice in Middlesbrough is looking to welcome an additional Veterinary Surgeon to its friendly and experienced team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a vet seeking strong clinical support, career development, and a genuinely positive team culture.
The practice is led by experienced veterinary surgeons who have built a supportive, collaborative environment with a real focus on learning, wellbeing, and clinical freedom. As the practice continues to grow, they are now looking to add another vet to the team.
You'll be joining a stable and supportive clinical team with existing interests in exotics, soft tissue surgery and ophthalmology, offering excellent exposure to a varied and interesting caseload. There is real flexibility for you to develop your own clinical interests, with CPD and certificates fully supported.
The diary is structured to allow proper time for case work-ups, admin, and follow-ups, enabling high clinical standards without feeling rushed. Regular team meetings and one-to-ones ensure everyone has a voice when it comes to protocols, development, and progression.
This position would suit a vet with a few years' experience, confident with routine consultations and surgeries, and keen to either progress a specific interest or move towards a more senior role over time.
1. Full-time preferred, though part-time considered
2. Occasional sole charge required
3. Shared Saturday rota
4. If you work a Saturday, you receive the following weekend as a long weekend off
5. Closed Sundays and Bank Holidays
The practice is committed to inclusivity, diversity, and creating opportunities for talented vets from all backgrounds, and encourages applications even if your experience doesn't align perfectly.
