Position: Category Manager - Technology Sector
Working Pattern: Full Time
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the strategic direction of assigned product categories within the technology sector.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement category strategies that drive sales growth and enhance market position.
3. Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks within the category.
4. Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to optimise costs and service levels.
5. Analyse sales performance and inventory management, providing insights to support decision-making.
6. Monitor competitor activities and adjust strategies accordingly to maintain a competitive edge.
7. Prepare and present regular reports to senior management, demonstrating category performance and strategic recommendations.
8. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the category management team.
9. Support the development of marketing initiatives to promote products effectively.
10. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations throughout the category lifecycle.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Category Manager or similar role in the technology industry.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
* Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
* Proficient in market research techniques and competitive analysis.
* Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering results on time.
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
