As Portsmouth Water continues its smart metering journey, we are now looking for a Smart Metering Administrator to help keep the programme running smoothly by coordinating key administrative activities and supporting post-installation “hypercare.” It also plays a part in ensuring our work aligns with the wider industry expectations set out in the MOSL Market Performance Framework and Ofwat’s BR-MeX outcomes.
What will you be doing?
Key Responsibilities
Process bilateral requests in accordance with the Operational Performance Standards defined within MOSL’s Market Performance Framework that relate to the rollout of non-household smart meters and follow up activities.
Update MOSLs Central Market System (CMOS) in accordance with the Market Performance Standards defined within MOSL’s Market Performance Framework for activities that relate to the rollout of non-household smart meters and any necessary follow up activities.
Undertake desktop analysis to ‘right size’ meters where applicable.
Contact non-household customers and arrange appointments for survey and smart meter installation.
Undertake data cleanse activities to improve the Company’s rank in MOSL’s Holistic League table.
Review work order results from the Network Technicians and/or Cappagh in relation to non-household smart meter rollout and any other associated follow up activities and respond to bilateral requests from retailers to ensure positive non-household customer outcomes.
Record accurate ‘action’ dates for Operational Performance Standards metric reporting.
Review what Operational Performance metrics are becoming due and ensure the appropriate work is undertaken in time to meet the metric.
Manage inbound contact via phone and email.
Build and develop relationships with non-household customers for B-MeX qualitative surveys.
Review data discrepancies in CMOS and work with Retailers to resolve them to ensure accurate primary settlement and help to prevent the need for unplanned settlement runs.
Update internal systems to reflect operation changes in relation to non-household smart meter rollout.
Monitor smart data for continuous flow and arrange any necessary follow up activities to understand and/or resolve the continuous flow.
Pro-active operational management if a non-household smart meter is not communicating.
Understand situations where a visit from the non-household Smart & Hypercare Field Team may be required.
