FutureGen Recruitment is delighted to be working with awell-established planning consultancy seeking a Senior Town Planner to supporta growing portfolio of strategic residential schemes across Bedfordshire andthe wider Oxford–Cambridge Arc.
This consultancy is heavily involved in the promotion ofland through emerging Local Plans, advising clients on the technical andpolitical complexities of housing growth, infrastructure delivery and long-termstrategic development planning. Their client base includes national landpromoters, PLC housebuilders and private estates.
The Role
As Senior Town Planner, you will play a key role in leading projects and acting as the day-to-day client advisor.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managingplanning applications from inception through to determination
* Draftingdetailed Planning Statements and strategic planning advice notes
* PreparingLocal Plan representations and growth submissions
* Advisingon planning policy risk and site promotion strategy
* Representingclients at planning committee and stakeholder meetings
* Supportingappeal submissions where required
* Mentoringjunior planners and supporting project delivery quality
This is a role offering strong autonomy, varied project work and clear progression.
About You
* MRTPIqualified or close to achieving chartership
* Strongexperience in residential development planning
* LocalPlan and strategic land promotion experience advantageous
* Confidentcommunicator with strong stakeholder management skills
* Commerciallyminded with strong project management capability
