This role involves processing applications, conducting inspections, and supporting enforcement to ensure public safety and compliance across Luton.
Key Responsibilities
1. Process and assess licensing applications in line with legislation and procedures.
2. Conduct inspections of licensed premises, including taxis and venues.
3. Investigate breaches and support enforcement actions.
4. Provide advice and resolve queries with stakeholders and the public.
5. Maintain accurate records using various software systems.
6. Undertake investigative and project work to meet departmental targets.
About You
* Experience in an office environment and dealing with the public.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Numerate with good IT skills, including Word, Excel, and databases.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Licensing Act 2003.
* Ability to travel across the borough for inspections.
