Quality Inspectors – Welding, Paint & Fit-Out (3 Separate Roles)
Location: Loughborough
Salary: Up to £38,000 per year (depending on experience)
Shift Options:
Days: 07:30 – 16:30 (Mon–Thursday), 07:30 – 12:30 (Friday)
Early: 06:00 – 14:00
Late: 14:00 – 22:00 (15% shift allowance)
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
The Opportunity
We are recruiting for three separate Quality Inspector positions within a well-established and growing engineering and manufacturing business in Loughborough.
Due to continued investment and expansion, the company is strengthening its quality team across the following areas:
Quality Inspector – Welding & Fabrication
Quality Inspector – Paint & Finishing
Quality Inspector – Fit-Out / Final Assembly
Each role plays a key part in ensuring products meet technical specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements prior to dispatch.
Role 1: Quality Inspector – Welding & Fabrication
* Inspect welds and fabricated components to drawings and specifications
* Monitor welding processes and identify non-conformances
* Support welding procedures and welder qualifications
* Conduct internal audits in line with ISO 9001:2015
* Maintain inspection and compliance documentation
* NDT knowledge (Dye Penetrant desirable)
Ideal background: Welding inspection, fabrication quality control, knowledge of ISO 9001.
Role 2: Quality Inspector – Paint & Finishing
* Carry out in-process paint inspections (visual, DFT, WFT, adhesion, P.I.G testing)
* Verify surface preparation and environmental conditions
* Inspect finished components for defects and finish quality
* Maintain calibration records and quality documentation
* Support internal audits and continuous improvement
Ideal background: Paint, coating, or finishing inspection within manufacturing.
Role 3: Quality Inspector – Fit-Out / Final Assembly
* Review drawings, specifications, and ITPs
* Inspect alignment, tolerances, finishes, fixings, seals, and functionality
* Produce snagging lists and monitor corrective actions
* Carry out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI)
* Attend client inspections when required
* Maintain accurate quality records
Ideal background: Manufacturing inspection, fit-out projects, or final assembly quality control.

* Experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment
* Strong understanding of ISO 9001:2015
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Excellent attention to detail
* Strong communication and organisational skills
