Sous Chef 23 Month Ongoing (Oxford College)
Location: Oxford Role: Sous Chef Full-time, 23 months continuous Pay: £17.50/hour (£15.61 + £1.88 holiday pay) Shifts: MondayFriday, 7:00am3:00pm Start: ASAP
Were looking for a skilled Sous Chef to join a prestigious college in Oxford on a temporary basis for the next 2 to 3 months. This daytime-only role is ideal for a local chef seeking consistent hours in a supportive, well-organised environment.
What Youll Be Doing:
Overseeing and taking full ownership of the salad bar, ensuring quality, presentation, and consistency
Managing all admin responsibilities for your section including ordering, stock checks, wastage logs, temperature records, and daily paperwork
Supporting the wider kitchen team during service
Maintaining high standards of hygiene, food safety, and organisation
Contributing to daily prep and service with a calm, professional approach
Ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within your section
What Were Looking For:
Sous Chef experience
Confident managing a section both culinarily and administratively
Strong organisational skills and the ability to keep accurate, up-to-date records
Excellent food safety and kitchen discipline
Level 2 Food Safety & Health & Safety certificates

Reliable, consistent, and ready to start immediately
Ideally a local chef due to early starts and MondayFriday working pattern
