Infrastructure Technical Program Manager, Backbone Capacity Engineering
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment to ensure continual access for our customers. About GCNA
AWS GCNA (Global Connectivity and Network Availability) connects the global AWS network, managing internet traffic to ensure users can access their information and applications worldwide. It involves building and designing a complex backbone network for efficient internet traffic flow between data centers and customers.

Key Responsibilities
1. Drive programs deploying AWS networking infrastructure in data centers and transit centers to meet growing customer demand.
2. Manage multiple cross-organizational projects simultaneously on a global scale.
3. Collaborate with engineers, technicians, deployment managers, and senior management.
4. Participate in network design reviews.
5. Lead meetings, develop timelines, and keep stakeholders informed.
6. Work with engineers to develop solutions for complex problems, balancing timelines and costs.
7. Ensure consistency in configurations and track exceptions.
8. Drive simplification in engineering, project management, and architecture to enable innovation.
9. Create process paths for large and complex projects.

Our Technical Infrastructure Program Managers oversee internet edge infrastructure, including routing policies, traffic engineering, peering, security, and hardware architecture. They handle large volumes of traffic, requiring complex solutions to ensure capacity keeps pace with demand. They work with diverse teams to improve and automate internet connectivity, making strategic and operational decisions with significant impact across Amazon’s products.

Minimum Qualifications
* Experience with Capacity Provisioning
* Knowledge of infrastructure best practices and emerging technologies
* Technical Infrastructure Program Management experience
* Background in data center operations
* Experience with infrastructure builds
Preferred Qualifications
* Network certification (CCNA/JNCIA)
* Knowledge of cloud infrastructure technologies
* Understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts
* Experience with large-scale network deployments
* Knowledge of network architectures and protocols
