What we offer
As an associate, you will assume coverage of selected equities within our Asia and Emerging market healthcare strategies. You will conduct in-depth company and industry research that directly inform portfolio construction and investment decision-making. The position offers a clear progression path toward an Equity Research Analyst or Portfolio Manager role.
Your profile
* Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree (healthcare-related e.g., Biology, Medicine, Natural Sciences, Physiology, Chemistry, Pharmacology) or Finance (e.g., Finance, Economics, Accounting)
* Required Skills and Experience: Foundational knowledge of the healthcare industry (pharmaceuticals, medtech, biotech, hospitals) and financial analysis (Balance Sheet, P&L and Cash Flow Statement interpretation, Excel-based modeling, valuation methodologies like DCF); prior internship or 1-2 years of professional experience in Equity Research (generalist or healthcare-focused)
* Preferred Qualifications: Business-level proficiency in one or more Asian languages; familiarity with the application of AI in the context of Equity Research; CFA designation or progress toward completion
Your responsibility
* Assume primary coverage responsibility for a defined set of equities, developing deep expertise and differentiated insights
* Build and maintain robust, institutional-grade financial models across the healthcare universe, including biotech, pharma, medtech, and healthcare services
* Conduct rigorous industry and company analysis, including conference attendance, on-site visits, and active participation in expert and management calls
* Proactively source and evaluate new investment opportunities, forming well-substantiated recommendations
* Partner closely with the Senior Analyst to produce high-quality research reports, investment notes, and client-facing marketing materials that support investment decision-making
