Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Support Worker to join our team. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring assistance with daily activities and specialized care needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong caregiving skills, a genuine passion for supporting others, and experience working in various care environments.
Duties
* Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
* Monitor residents' health status through vital signs measurement and patient observation, reporting any concerns promptly.
* Support residents with medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans.
* Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal service, ensuring dietary restrictions are observed.
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within resident rooms and common areas, including light cleaning duties.
* Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts and ensure safe transfer techniques to prevent injury.
* Document care activities accurately and contribute to the development of individualized care plans.
Experience
* Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care, and hospice care practices is preferred.
* Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism will be considered an asset.
* Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in HIPAA compliance is advantageous.
* Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques, medication administration, and vital signs measurement is essential.
* Previous experience with resident's (personalized resident care) and use of assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts is beneficial.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £12.77-£13.77 per hour
Expected hours: 11 – 37.5 per week
