The role Drive / operate heavy plant and machinery such as Tugmasters, translifters Discharge and load vessels Mooring and releasing vessels Any duties that may arise to contribute to the day-to-day running of the terminal Your profile It is important that you have a good work ethic Experience of driving large vehicles and operating heavy plant and machinery would be advantageous It is essential you have a pro-active approach and knowledge of Health and Safety You will have good interpersonal and communication skills Good IT skills are desirable for use of in-house/ on-board Freight Management Systems You must be a self-motivated individual Good time-keeping is essential Ability to prioritise workload whilst working to tight timescales in accordance with company policies You must be able to work within a team. A flexible approach to work is necessary as you will be expected to cover when required Must be willing to undertake any duties that may arise to contribute to the day-to-day running of the terminal, which can include site maintenance / cleaning You must also be willing to work to a flexible timetable to meet the changing patterns of work, which could include working at other Ports within the UK and Europe Our offer Competitive salary Pension scheme Life Assurance Cover Closing date for applications is 17.00hrs on Sunday 21st December with interviews being held in the New Year.
