The Exciting Role
Are you ready to lead and develop exceptional apprenticeship programmes? We are seeking a Programme Leader to oversee our Engineering apprenticeship programmes (you don\'t need to be an engineer), focusing on managing and enhancing learner outcomes. Whether you are an experienced programme leader in apprenticeships or an experienced assessor seeking a step up, we want to hear from you. We are looking for someone with strong leadership, programme coordination, and educational experience, within apprenticeships. Join a high-performing, forward-thinking team dedicated to high-quality education and training. If you thrive in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment and have a proven track record of delivering successful apprenticeship delivery, this role could be ideal for you. In this pivotal leadership role, you will play a central part in shaping the success of our engineering apprenticeship provision. We welcome applications from talented assessors looking for an opportunity to step up into a management position, even if you may not have prior management experience. You will be primarily based at our ARC campus but will work across sites as needed to support team collaboration and quality improvement.
What You Will Be Doing
* Leading and managing a team of Training & Development Coaches and Workshop Tutors to deliver outstanding engineering apprenticeships.
* Taking strategic responsibility for apprentice progress, quality of delivery, and compliance with all apprenticeship and funding requirements.
* Acting as the Lead IQA and Centre Co-ordinator, ensuring high standards in assessment and quality assurance.
* Monitoring programme performance against key KPIs such as achievement, retention, and satisfaction, using data to inform early intervention.
* Driving continuous improvement through quality processes including SARs, QIPs, audits, and external inspections (e.g. Ofsted, ESFA).
* Collaborating with cross-college teams to provide a joined-up, learner-focused experience.
* Leading on employer engagement and reviews, supporting apprentices and stakeholders through every stage of the learner journey.
* Supporting curriculum planning and innovation, aligning provision with employer needs, sector changes, and best practice in teaching and learning.
What We Are Looking For
* A qualified assessor and IQA with demonstrable experience of leading high-quality apprenticeship provision.
* Strong working knowledge of apprenticeship standards, funding rules, EPA processes, and Ofsted requirements.
* A confident and credible leader with a track record of managing teams, coaching staff, and delivering results.
* Experience using digital systems (e.g. OneFile, ILR, e-portfolios, spreadsheets) to track and improve learner progress.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to influence, motivate and engage a wide range of stakeholders.
* A genuine passion for apprenticeships and a commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes for learners and employers.
What We Offer in Return
* Generous annual leave allowance, plus Bank Holidays and closure days, and including a two-week closure over the Christmas period.
* Access to a workplace pension scheme - with generous employer contributions
* Enhanced occupational sick pay scheme and access to family friendly policies and benefits
* A range of health and wellbeing benefits and support
* Staff recognition scheme, including long service awards
