This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accounting professional to join the private equity financial reporting team of a global financial institution. The successful candidate will lead the preparation and review of client deliverables while supporting the development of accounting staff and driving high-quality service for a high-profile private equity client.
Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
* Leading the preparation and review of financial statements, management accounts, valuations, and fund reporting.
* Acting as a key point of contact for client and auditor queries, including technical accounting matters.
* Supporting investor reporting, distributions, drawdowns, management fee calculations, and ad hoc requests.
* Reviewing financial reporting prepared both locally and by outsourced teams in other jurisdictions.
* Ensuring accurate reporting in line with UK GAAP or IFRS and submitting within regulatory deadlines.
* Designing and reviewing pro forma accounts in consultation with auditors and clients.
* Coaching and mentoring fund accountants and contributing to performance reviews and training.
* Managing timelines, assigning tasks, escalating issues, and overseeing improvements to systems and processes.
* Supporting statutory returns (FRR and LRR) and ensuring all internal and external deadlines are met.
* Promoting teamwork, service excellence, and compliance with internal standards.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be ACA or ACCA qualified with strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and/or IFRS. A working knowledge of Guernsey company, partnership, and POI laws is required. Candidates must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication, team leadership, and time management skills. Experience using Excel at an advanced level and familiarity with Investran is desirable. The role suits a confident, detail-oriented professional with strong stakeholder engagement experience and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
