Company & Project:
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an office-based technician to join the responsive repairs and planned teams working for our clients. Works include general repairs, voids, and planned works. The role links the responsive repairs team with the planned team, supporting daily operations and ensuring efficient team functioning.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Understand various Housing Association (HA) clients' TMB work and their current contracted rates to NatFed Schedule of Rates (SORS).
* Build knowledge of different client systems/portals.
* Develop a sound working knowledge of NatFed SORS and its sections.
* Recognize when SORS are not appropriate and submit variations.
* Use client portals and spreadsheets for invoicing and gain approval.
* Ensure immediate raising of sales invoices for completed works.
* Collaborate with admin coordinators to resolve issues with voids and ensure proper coding and valuation.
* Understand the TMB bespoke Job Costings system and record costings accurately.
* Review invoices for materials and sub-contractors, addressing queries as needed.
* Assess overheads for employed, agency, and subcontracted workers, recording anticipated costs.
* Prepare and submit final valuations via SOR sheets for completed void works, obtaining client authorization.
* Extract information from void folders for accurate coding to maximize financial outcomes.
* Provide evidence when SOR is challenged and seek amicable resolutions with clients.
* Research and collate information to respond appropriately.
* Communicate effectively with clients and tenants regarding works if necessary.

* Methodical, analytical, and investigative working approach.
* Ability to prioritize workloads.
* Effective communication skills with internal and external clients, written and verbal.
* Flexibility.
Desirable Experience & Qualifications:
* Experience with NatFed SOR (preferred but not essential).
* Basic technical knowledge of construction.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Experience dealing directly with clients.
* Experience analyzing information/data.
