Overview
To ensure the continued delivery of high-quality Oncological care to patients within the trust and to contribute to the further development of the service. The appointee will be Lead Medical Oncology Consultant for Breast & Hepatico-Pancreatico-Biliary Cancers. The appointee will be expected to maintain and enhance the multidisciplinary management of patients with these malignancies, to increase entry of patients into clinical trials and to expand the service as required to meet patients' needs.
Responsibilities
* Lead Medical Oncology for Breast & Hepatico-Pancreatico-Biliary Cancers and contribute to service improvement.
* Maintain and enhance multidisciplinary management of patients with these malignancies.
* Increase entry of patients into clinical trials.
* Expand the service as required to meet patients\' needs.
* Contribute to the on-going service improvement programme developing:
o Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT)
o Cost Improvement Programme (CIP)
o Implementing evidence-based new ways of working when necessary
