We are seeking a Reception Manager to join our team in Glasgow. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a pivotal role at one of the city's exclusive wedding and events venues.

About the Role

As Reception Manager, you'll be the welcoming face of our venue, ensuring that every guest and client has a seamless and memorable experience. You'll take ownership of the reception and cloakroom areas while also supporting the wedding and event operations behind the scenes. From welcoming couples on the biggest day of their lives and greeting corporate clients for their bespoke events, to coordinating with suppliers and maintaining venue standards, you'll play a vital role in the smooth running of our events.

Key Responsibilities

* Act as a key holder, opening the venue each morning.
* Conduct a daily walk round with housekeeping and report any issues to supervisors.
* Report urgent maintenance issues to our in-house team.
* Welcome and check in suppliers and vendors, directing them to the correct spaces, including, providing tours and demonstrations of venue systems (lighting, music, heating) where necessary. Ensuring all vendors are set up in the correct areas in line with wedding and event schedules.
* Welcome and escort members of wedding parties to relevant spaces in the building including bridal parlour.
* Provide a clear handover of supplier and client information to the operations team.
* Manage the front desk and cloakroom, greeting guests and directing them to event spaces.
* Offer respectful assistance to guests with mobility needs or those requiring elevator access.
* Check in and log clients' belongings the day before events, creating clear property records for the operations team.
* The following day, meet couples and clients to return items safely, including gifts, cards, and valuables.
* Manage a lost property system, recording and storing items correctly.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

* Warm, professional, and guest-focused, with a passion for hospitality.
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
* Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a busy environment.
* A confident communicator, able to liaise with guests, couples, suppliers, and colleagues.
* Enthusiastic about delivering luxury service and unforgettable experiences.
* Experienced in hospitality, events, or a similar customer-facing role (preferred).
