What skills and experience we're looking for

The Castle School is looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic SENDCo to lead our well‑established SEND faculty. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a leadership role and drive inclusive education across the school, raising standards of student attainment and achievement for our SEND and other vulnerable students.

The SENDCo will lead all our inclusion work to ensure appropriate provision is in place for all students with SEND and other vulnerabilities. A key task of the SENDCo is to ensure that our inclusive provision is both efficiently and effectively managed, with all legal and statutory requirements met for students with SEND.

This is an exciting and varied role, working with staff and students daily, so excellent communication skills are required. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable, approachable and reliable with resilience and commitment to their workload and responsibilities.
