Job Description Based at Brown Street Kennels, Dundee, you will be part of a team within City Development responsible for the efficient operation of Brown Street Kennels. You will provide cover for holidays and sick leave and predominantly be required to work at weekends, 08:30 to 13:45 hours on Saturday; 10:30 to 13:30 on Sunday; 10:30 to 13:30 on single public holidays and 08:30 to 13:15 hours on multiple public holidays as required. If required during the week, the hours are Monday to Friday 08:36 to 16:30 hours but this will depend on the staffing levels required. When work is available you will be contacted. Responsibilities You will be responsible for the efficient carrying out of duties in connection with the care of the dogs at Brown Street Kennels. The Individual You will have some experience working with dogs/animals in a closed environment and experience in working with members of the public face to face and in possible confrontational /awkward situations. You will have good oral communication, numeracy and interpersonal skills. You will have confidence in dealing with dogs along with good cleaning and timekeeping skills. In addition, you must be available to work at short notice, particularly weekends/public holidays.
