Job Overview: We are looking for Social Worker (Adults). Key Responsibilities: Undertake Section 42 (S42) safeguarding enquiries under the Care Act 2014. Assess and manage safeguarding concerns involving vulnerable adults. Work with adults at risk, families, carers, and partner agencies. Complete safeguarding investigations and risk assessments. Coordinate multi-agency safeguarding responses. Maintain accurate case records and reports. Attend safeguarding meetings and case conferences. Ensure compliance with the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and safeguarding procedures. Carry out visits across Somerset and attend the office in Taunton on Wednesdays. Essential Experience: Qualified Social Worker with registration through Social Work England. Minimum 1 year in an Adult Safeguarding Team, OR At least 2 years of substantial Section 42 enquiry experience within a current or previous adult social care role.
