VMWare Engineer (DV CLEARED)
* Contract Type: Contractor
* Rate: £500 per day inside IR35
* Location: Bracknell - fully on site
* Clearance Required: DV Clearance active
* Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, On-site
We are seeking a VMWare Engineer to join an established programme team for a large Government account. This role involves building and configuring ESX devices according to build guides as part of a deployment team. The project focuses on a hardware rollout, requiring a skilled engineer who can work effectively within a dynamic team environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Build and configure ESX devices as per the provided build guides.
* Work collaboratively within the deployment team and maintain positive relationships with other project teams.
* Visit customer sites to install hardware within racks.
* Provide remote support of hardware during customer testing.
* Regularly update the Project Manager and team lead on progress.
* Engage with service teams to ensure that new hardware is effectively taken into support.
* Be flexible with working hours as some implementations may occur outside of normal working hours due to customer activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven track record as an infrastructure engineer in a project environment, building solutions from build guides.
* Broad technical skills across an enterprise environment, with demonstrated skills in infrastructure management, VMWare/VSphere support, and implementation.
* Ability to work well within a team and develop positive working relationships.
* Excellent communication skills for interactions with peers, management, and customers.
* High attention to detail.
* Experience working with large government customers.
* Self-starter who can implement solutions with minimal supervision and effectively troubleshoot issues.
* Positive, can-do attitude.
