Health Visitor

We are looking to recruit Health Visitors within Wakefield. The successful candidates will have a passion and commitment to health visiting, working to improve the lives of children and families in a transformative service and organisation.
They will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to deliver under pressure and work in a rapidly changing environment.
Main duties of the job
The Health Visiting role is to deliver the Healthy Child Program as part of a team, planning, delivering and evaluating an efficient and cost-effective service for an identified population.
You will be delivering the National and Local Public Health agendas in response to identified health and social need, working with partner agencies in a strategic, creative and holistic way, ensuring the best outcomes for children, young people and families.

Qualifications
* First level registered nurse/midwife.
* Specialist practitioner (Hons, B.Sc. Hons, Health Visiting / Public Health Nursing or equivalent).
* Evidence of continuing professional development.
* Highly developed specialist knowledge relevant to working with children and families underpinned by theory.
* Nurse prescriber.
* Recognised teaching qualification.
Experience
* Experience of partnership working.
* Sound knowledge and experience of promoting the safeguarding and wellbeing of children.
* Evidence of leadership.
* Experience of staff management.
* Experience in leading teams in the provision of health services to children, young people and families.
