Your new role
As a Contracts Manager, you will take full ownership of the successful delivery of multiple construction projects from pre-start through to handover. You will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Leading end-to-end project delivery, maintaining programme, quality, and cost control
2. Collaborating with Directors to ensure projects are properly resourced
3. Developing construction programmes and delivery strategies
4. Managing procurement schedules and subcontract packages
5. Appointing and overseeing subcontractors, ensuring performance,pliance, and quality
6. Maintaining robust health & safety processes, including Construction Phase Plans and site inspections
7. Administering contracts and ensuringpliance with key contractual obligations
8. Managing client relationships, providing clearmunication on progress, risks, and solutions
9. Producing reports on programme,mercial performance, and site progress
10. Supporting site teams to ensure labour and resources meet programme demands
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong coordination across site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed
11. 10+ years’ experience delivering construction projects, ideally with sector experience in Industrial,mercial or Steel frames.
12. Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard
13. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously
14. Proactive mindset with the ability to identify and mitigate risks early
15. Excellent knowledge of construction processes, health & safety, andpliance requirements
16. Strongmunication and stakeholder management skills
17. Ability to lead and motivate teams while maintaining high standards
18. A pragmatic, can-do attitude with a willingness to get involved where needed
19. Flexibility to travel across mainland England as required
