About the Role
Midland Medical Services Ltd is looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join our medical gas maintenance team. You will be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of a wide range of piped medical gas plant and equipment across public and private hospitals, as well as laboratories, research facilities, and universities.
Key Responsibilities
* Service, maintain, and repair medical gas systems and associated equipment
* Work on a variety of plant including:
*
o Air Plants (compressors – screw and piston types, desiccant dryers, receivers, controls)
o Vacuum Plants
o Manifolds
o Terminal Units
o Alarm Systems
* Carry out four PPM visits per year for each contracted site
* Participate in a 24 / 7 emergency call-out rota (approximately 1 week in 4–5)
* Work flexibly, including early starts, late finishes, occasional night work, and nights away when required (overtime rates apply)
* Complete all documentation accurately and maintain high standards of safety and compliance
* Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers
About You
Essential :
* Electrical and mechanical background
* Strong communication and customer-service skills
Desirable Experience
* Air compressors
* Desiccant dryers
* Vacuum pumps
* Pneumatic systems
Training will be provided for all specialist equipment.
