We are looking for anumber of CNC Machinists/Inspectors for a 12 months contract based in Annesley on behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planets vital power needs.
Job description - the role
The Skilled Machinists/ Inspectors can fill any shopfloor role within the Annesley facility. Carrying out machining, inspection NDT, Linear friction welding, Inertia welding, Furnace, Bino inspection and Robotic polishing on a variety of Blades, Discs, Blisks and Drums.
Working on a shift rotating shift basis on an All Inclusive Rate, the Skilled Machinists/ Inspectors will process product using various techniques, experience of machining, inspection and NDT, as set out by Technical instructions, Inspection Procedure cards, Engineering drawings and specifications.
As a Skilled Machinist/Inspector you will be responsible for:
Set up and run programmes.
Working to technical instructions and sentencing accordingly.
Work closely with support functions.
Ensuring safe working practices are adhered to at all times.
Maintaining high levels of 5S, Housekeeping and Asset care
What we require from the candidate:
Completed an Advanced Modern Engineering Apprenticeship* and an NVQ/SVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
Experience as a CNC Machinist or Inspector in an aerospace environment is highly advantageous, but will consider other engineering backgrounds
The ability to follow engineering drawings and follow manufacturing processes
Being able to maintain Safe working practices.
Ability to work independently or as part of a Team.
At the Compressor Rotor Facility, it is an all-inclusive shift Pattern and salary rate; therefore, all applicants must be able to work a shift pattern which can consist of regular days, 2 shifts, 3-shifts or a 4-shift pattern depending on workload.
