Applications are invited for an NIHR-funded integrated academic training clinical lecturer post in Neurology, Public Health Medicine, or General Practice at Lancaster Medical School. This post is available for up to four years, depending on the clinical training needs of the successful candidate to obtain a CCT. General Practitioners (GPs) can only apply if they have completed their clinical training and obtained a CCT. The appointment is on a fixed-term contract lasting a maximum of four years or until the completion of clinical training (CCT), whichever is sooner.
You will have the opportunity to undertake internationally regarded research and share responsibility for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes. The post offers a training contract with Health Education England North West at the specialist registrar/specialty trainee grade or equivalent, along with an honorary contract with a relevant NHS Trust.
Eligibility criteria include holding (or having submitted) a PhD/MD at the time of application, with full award by 30 September 2024. Applicants must hold a current National Training Number (NTN) in the relevant specialty and be more than 12 months prior to CCT at the time of appointment. (Note: these criteria are not relevant for GP candidates).
The research component will be based in the Faculty of Health and Medicine at Lancaster University, while the clinical component will be centered around clinical settings in Lancashire and surrounding areas.
