This amazing school are looking for a Mental Health Worker to join them starting ASAP!
Responsibilities
* Support the students with their mental health, helping them to process and understand their emotions
* You may provide support in small groups or 1 to 1.
* Work alongside the class teacher to create a safe and engaging learning environment where students can flourish and meet all their goals
* Help to deescalate any high emotions and help students to regulate
* Help the class teacher prepare lesson materials and keep the classroom tidy
Role details
* Support the class teacher with general class duties and assist in preparing lesson materials
* Support students with their general workload and intervention plans designed to support mental health needs
* Provide 1:1 support and assist during lessons
Qualifications and attributes
* Will be confident
* Will have a compassionate and positive personality
* Will be proactive and take initiative
* Will have good problem solving skills
* Will be able to deescalate heightened emotions
* Will have an enhanced DBS or be willing to apply for one
* Will have an understanding of the importance
