DAC Beachcroft has an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Solicitor Apprentice within our Corporate, Banking, Insolvency and Tax team. This is a 30-month full-time contract based in our Bristol office, with a start date TBC – between late July/early September.
Forming an integral part of an established team of over 40 fee earners, the main purpose of this role is to provide excellent support across the practice areas in Bristol and London.
Joining DAC Beachcroft as a Graduate Solicitor Apprentice offers a structured path to becoming a fully qualified solicitor, with comprehensive support through the Solicitors Qualifying Exams (SQE1 and SQE2). You'll gain invaluable hands-on experience, enhancing your skills in legal research, client interaction, document preparation, and case management. Throughout the program, you will have a dedicated study day each week with BPP University.

The Corporate, Banking, Insolvency, and Tax team at DAC Beachcroft is large, with a significant presence in our Bristol and London offices. The teams work closely together to provide excellent service to our clients. The team's main focus includes mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate and finance transactions, insolvency situations, and general advisory work. The work is project-based, involved, and engaging.
Our clients are discerning and expect a gold standard of service. We advise in-house legal teams at major corporates, as well as clients in healthcare, real estate, and financial services sectors.
Requirements
* A qualifying Law degree at a 2:1 or above, or a non-law degree at a 2:1 or above with a pass on a GDL, PGDL, CPE, or equivalent completed in the last 5 years.
* A minimum of BBB at A Level or equivalent.
* At least five GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including English and Maths.

Key Responsibilities
* Providing a first-class client-facing service, liaising positively with clients and support staff via phone, email, and in person, and building relationships as appropriate.
* Accurate and timely preparation of correspondence, agreements, and other documents.
* Amending documents, proofreading, and creating comparisons to highlight changes.
* Preparing draft engagement letters.
* Opening and closing files.
* Liaising with overseas counsel.
