Casual Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a 50 year old woman living in the Penarth area with my daughter. I have an intermittent chronic condition that fluctuates, so I need support whilst poorly to help keep the family house running smoothly.
PURPOSE OF JOB
* Support in the home, which would include household general chores such as meal preparation or cooking, dishes, laundry, hoovering, making beds, mopping floors etc.
* Flexible on hours, for 1 or 2 PA’s as needed.
HOURS OF WORK
My care package is not guaranteed hours per week but instead it is up to 17 hours per week for periods when required. These are normally 4-12 week periods.
RATES OF PAY
£15 per hour
TASKS INVOLVED
* Meals and preparation
* Medication/collection of prescriptions
* Shopping as needed
* Household duties
* Any other reasonable task

ABOUT THE JOB
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly and appropriate holiday pay given. The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority). The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK.
