What do we value?

We’re very intentional about adding new people. We think a small team of exceptional people working hard at a problem they care about will always beat a larger, less focused team. That does mean you’ll need to bring an intensity to this role that might not be asked at other companies. But it also means you will be fast tracked into more senior roles and responsibilities far earlier. We also believe in hiring people who want ownership and autonomy in their work, and giving it to them. We’ll reach +$25m in revenue by the end of 2025 - there will be plenty of opportunities for you!

About The Role:
Fyxer AI is at an exciting juncture; we're scaling fast, expanding our product features, and stepping up our brand and product experience to set new standards in our industry. Instant useability, and trust are fundamental to our proposition, and we know these qualities are demonstrated visually and experientially. We're looking for a strategically minded Product Designer to be the guardian and visionary behind a cohesive, compelling, and trustworthy user experience across our entire product range.

This role is strategically crucial, operating at the intersection of product and brand. You’ll collaborate closely with our product engineers to shape product experience, uphold exceptionally high standards, whilst working closely with the brand and creative teams to ensure a unified experience.

As our first ever Product Designer, you’ll have ownership of design processes from the ground up. Your mission will be to define and elevate the visual and interactive standard of our product ecosystem, from initial onboarding to ongoing user engagement.

What You'll Do:

Establish Design Excellence:

Define, articulate, and implement high quality UX/UI standards across all products, raising the bar for visual consistency, usability, and delight.

Collaborate Across Teams: Work hand-in-hand with product engineers to design product features (e.g., meeting note-takers, task lists), ensuring practicality without compromising on visual and user experience quality.

Design Cohesion: Develop and maintain a cohesive visual and interactive user journey, from initial user onboarding to ongoing engagement across all products.

Ownership of Web UX/UI: Fully own and elevate the design and user experience of our marketing website, ensuring consistency with the product experience and brand guidelines.

Consumer Centric Vision: Deeply understand our users needs and translate insights into pragmatic design solutions that inspire trust, convey security, and position Fyxer as a new standard for productivity tools.

Our ideal person

* shows urgency and intensity in their work. At Fyxer AI, we believe every minute counts. Speed is really important to us, because the only competitive advantage startups have is the quality of their execution.
* has 6+ years of experience at fast-growing early and growth stage companies - Series A-D, 20-120 employees
* strategic and pragmatic: You balance a bold creative vision with a pragmatic approach, executing efficiently to deliver immediate impact
* has a portfolio of work showcasing an ability to make products solving complex problems intuitive to us
* is comfortable working alone, since you’ll be the first product designer, and the only one for some time.
* collaborative communicator: Proven ability to partner with engineering, brand, and growth teams, clearly articulating design decisions and integrating feedback to continuously refine the user experience.
* is adaptable in their approach. We’ve set the team up in an unconventional way, with product engineers instead of the traditional cross-functional squad structure, and no product managers. It’s important you can figure out the right way of working within this structure.

Our stack

It’s not a requirement to have worked with every tool in this stack, but the more the better!

* Figma as our design tool
* ShadCN as our component library
* Tailwind CSS as our styling framework
* Lucide as our icon library
* Posthog for in-app surveys, session recording and analytics events
* Miro for whiteboarding
* v0 for prototyping

The application process

1. Submit your CV & portfolio
2. Chemistry Call with Lucy
3. F2F Task & Interview w/ Lucy
4. Final interview with Matt (CTO)
