Telent's Network Services division is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our engineering team based in Southampton. This role offers the opportunity to work with a talented team of Cloud, Network, and Security specialists, supporting your growth through challenging projects.
The Cloud Engineer will develop and maintain relationships with internal and external customers, providing proactive service and acting as a bridge between engineering and service teams to ensure high customer satisfaction.

What you’ll do:
* Train staff and customers on products and solutions.
* Support professional services and sales opportunities.
* Monitor customer incidents and report issues.
* Identify trends and security threats impacting customers.
* Manage documentation related to customer platforms and services.
* Follow internal processes for tasks and reporting.
* Assist with Proof of Concept, Type Approval, and lab testing activities.
* Create technical documentation and Statements of Work.
* Review engineering documentation.
* Help with equipment pre-staging for customer sites.
* Attend customer meetings as required.
* Ensure accurate timekeeping and expense reporting.
* Maintain certifications aligned with role objectives.
* Adhere to GDPR and security policies.
Who you are:
The ideal candidate has an interest in Cloud technologies, some Azure knowledge, Linux, MS SCCM, and MS Exchange experience. You should have a strong work ethic, a can-do attitude, and experience in medium to large support environments, with on-premise cloud services experience.
* Certifications like MCSA, VCP (desirable)
* Networking and SQL Server knowledge
* Azure MFA and Identity Services familiarity
* Experience with VMware vCloud Director
* Leadership qualities and excellent communication skills
* Problem-solving passion and ability to work independently or in teams
