As an accountant, you will support accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance and monthly closing activities. A key part of the role involves daily coordination with the Shared Service Center (SSC) to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of transactional accounting and reporting outputs.
Your responsibilities will include
* Manage and oversee monthly closing activities, ensuring deadlines are met and financials are accurate and complete
* Review and validate journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals prepared by the SSC
* Act as the key point of contact between the local finance team and SSC for all transactional finance matters
* Ensure proper documentation and compliance with IFRS/local GAAP for statutory reporting and audits
* Lead or support the preparation of statutory financial statements and liaise with external auditors
* Monitor and enforce internal controls, escalating issues where necessary
* Support continuous improvement of accounting processes and reporting quality in collaboration with SSC
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
* Proven experience (5+ years) in accounting and finance transformation and systems/process integration, preferably in a merger or restructuring context
* Strong knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel/Power BI proficiency
Preferred skills and experiences
* Partly or fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA)
* Experience working with Shared Service Centers or outsourced finance operations
* Strong understanding of IFRS and/or local GAAP requirements
* Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
* Exposure to audit preparation and statutory filing processes
