Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various construction techniques and be adept at using both hand and power tools. This role requires a commitment to quality craftsmanship and the ability to interpret schematics accurately. The Joiner will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials.
Duties
* Interpret and work from schematics to ensure precise construction.
* Construct frameworks, doors, windows, and other structures using wood and other materials.
* Perform welding tasks as required for specific projects.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for various fabrication tasks.
* Carry out roofing duties, ensuring all installations are secure and meet safety standards.
* Engage in masonry work as needed, including bricklaying and stonework.
* Execute plumbing tasks related to joinery projects when necessary.
* Handle heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency.
Skills
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics.
* Experience with welding techniques is advantageous.
* Strong skills in using hand tools such as saws, chisels, and hammers.
* Background in construction with a focus on carpentry practices.
* Familiarity with roofing methods and materials.
* Competence in operating power tools safely and effectively.
* Knowledge of fabrication processes for various materials.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the workday.
* Basic plumbing skills are beneficial for completing joinery tasks.
* Understanding of masonry principles is a plus.
