ABOUT YOU
The Laboratory Assistant/Laboratory Technician will provide support services to all technical staff across lab support, sample processing, and equipment management.
Required skills and experience:
* Some relevant laboratory experience; full training will be provided.
* Good interpersonal and communication skills to work as part of a team and independently.
* Experience with common pharmaceutical materials and equipment is an advantage.
* Flexible and responsive to routine and non-routine requests as part of a team.
* Motivated to learn and develop skills.
* Basic IT literacy skills.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
All tasks will be performed in accordance with Intertek Melbourn procedures and GMP principles. Raw data must be processed promptly and recorded neatly and legibly, with any issues reported to the supervisor.
Key activities include:
* Ensuring a clean supply of glassware, following SOPs for cleaning and drying.
* Maintaining good housekeeping in all lab areas.
* Processing incoming samples per SOP.
* Conducting stock checks and raising orders for replenishment.
* Receiving and processing consumable orders, ensuring proper delivery.
* Maintaining stock rotation and disposal of expired items.
* Performing routine maintenance and checks on lab equipment.
* Disposing of tested samples as required.
* Communicating effectively with staff at all levels to ensure smooth operations.
