Due to an increase in student numbers, this outstanding independent ASD specialist boys’ school is delighted to be expanding its English department and is seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join the team.
This is a new, full-time, permanent opportunity.

Located in rural Horsham, the school provides a highly supportive and structured learning environment for autistic pupils. Access to the school requires you to be a driver with your own vehicle.
The school is open and flexible regarding professional background. Teachers with experience in mainstream education who are eager to develop their career within SEN and ASD specialist education are very welcome to apply. The Role
You will be responsible for planning, preparing and delivering engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. Lessons are taught in small classes of up to five students, supported by experienced Teaching Assistants.
The English department is well-resourced, established and carefully maintained, enabling you to focus on high-quality teaching and individualised learning.

* Monitor, assess and accurately record student progress

* Strong subject knowledge in English
* A genuine interest in SEN and ASD education
* High levels of motivation, resilience and enthusiasm
* Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
* Willingness to learn and develop within a specialist educational setting
